The Light of Hope

Central Carroll Performance Ensemble is proud to present their 2010 Program, “THE LIGHT OF HOPE”. Competing in the Scholastic A class, the 14 young ladies from Central High School in Carrollton, GA present a stirring look at the apocalyptical devastation brought when Hurricane Katrina hammered the gulf coast of the United States; more specifically the immense loss of property and life in the city of New Orleans. The program does not prod at the political aspects of what happened or what did not happen, but instead focuses on how man helped man, neighbor helped neighbor, and stranger helped stranger both in the rescue and recovery of a city that is so richly a part of our nation's culture.  Many citizens of our nation as well as some foreign lands joined together to try to help bring relief in any way possible.  While it may take years, decades, and possibly lifetimes for this city to fully recover from this catastrophic natural disaster, New Orleans, Louisiana is once again a thriving cultural icon not only of the south, but of our nation as well because of the union of helping hands that turned deep darkness – into the Light of Hope.

The Central Carroll Performance Ensemble is under the direction of Mr. Phillip Berryhill, and Mr. Neil E. Ruby,                   Director of Bands.
The 2010 staff will include: Brandon Landry, Rodney Bailey, Tad Brannen, and Johnathan Davis.

The Central Carroll Performance Ensemble is sponsored by The Central High School Band Boosters, Inc.
