Road to the Roses
There are moments when a passion for excellence, perseverance, and unwavering dedication result in accomplishments that are worthy of acknowledgement and support. For the Central-Carroll H.S. Marching Pride Band, January l, 2011, will be such a moment. On that date, the Marching Pride will represent Carroll County, the State of Georgia, and the Southeastern United States in a performance at the 122nd Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. The Marching Pride is one of twelve High School Bands from the United States selected to participate in what is the ultimate tribute to marching band excellence.
Over one million people will line the Rose Parade route, while more than 430 million people in over 100 countries will view the Rose Parade on television. As it makes its historic 5 l/2 - mile march down Pasadena's Colorado Boulevard, the Marching Pride will proudly represent those who have helped make the fulfillment of their hard work and dedication possible. And while the Road To The Roses ends in Pasadena next January for the Marching Pride the journey is already underway.
The Commítment
The entire Central-Carroll High School Band Program is committed to ensuring that every band member is able to participate in the Tournament of Roses experience regardless of individual economic circumstances. The cost of the journey down the Road To The Roses will be substantial. Sending the nearly 200 Band members and staff to Pasadena, for the Marching Pride's international television appearance, will require approximately $270,000. To fulfill its commitment to inclusiveness, the Marching Pride is hard at work generating funds through proceeds from fund raising events, corporate sponsorships, and private donations.
The Request
The Marchìng Pride respectfully requests that you and your company join the Central band family on its journey down the Road To The Roses. You can take that journey with the Lion Pride through your tax-deductible financial support as a Corporate Sponsor. A Corporate Sponsorship represents an acknowledgement of the Marching Pride's achievement, and of the values inherent in that achievement. The members of the Marching Pride represent the best of the next generation, both in the classroom and in performance. Your support and participation in their journey down the Road To The Roses will serve as an acknowledgement of their current success, and as an investment in all they are individually and collectively sure to achieve in the future.
